Do you love words as much as I do?

I wrote this free verse poem for a school assignment, and everyone who’s read it liked it. Maybe you will too.

Articulate

I never know how to express my feelings in words the right way. Should I speak Calmly, or Anxiously?

Briskly, or Cautiously?

Arrogantly, or Awkwardly?

Absentmindedly,

Bitterly,

Boastfully,

Bravely,

Carelessly,

Cheerfully,

Clearly,

Accidentally,

Or even Boldly?

Should I speak Seriously, or Jokingly?

Or, I suppose the real question is, should I speak at all?

I don’t know what I would do with this paragraph, and I don’t know if I ever will do something with it. But I love putting words on paper, and that there are no rules that hold me back from writing whatever comes to mind.
