What do you love about Christmas?
One of my favorite traditions around Christmastime is making food and treats. I always make cream cheese mints, peppermint cookies, and fudge.
I love the smells around Christmastime too! Cinnamon and vanilla candles, warm apple cider, and hot cocoa are just a few of my favorites.
One especially fun tradition that my family has is Christmas Breakfast. We leave out decorated paper bags for Santa to fill, and in the morning, we come out and get to eat all the delicious food Santa left for us. We have to wait for everyone to finish with breakfast before we get to go downstairs to the Christmas presents and stockings.
My mom always makes Candy Cane Christmas Cake. It’s a delicious, almost gooey cake that oozes pie filling and is drizzled in frosting. My favorite flavor she’s made so far is lemon, but she’s also made cherry, raspberry, and strawberry. After opening all of our Christmas presents, we eat Candy Cane Christmas Cake before lunch, or as a snack.
